Background
Founded in 2001, Energid provides software and support to government and commercial customers in the space, military, manufacturing, and energy markets. It provides engineering products and services for robotics, machine-vision, training, virtual reality, and simulation applications in those markets. Energid is an employee-owned company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

The company maintains regional U.S. presence in Dallas, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; San Diego, California; Tucson, Arizona; Seattle, Washington; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and New York, New York. Energid also has an international office focused on educational applications in India.

Energid’s robotics and kinematics software has applications in numerous fields, including surgical operations, agricultural harvesting and processing, factory automation, entertainment, and more.

The company’s machine vision technology has been used to meet the needs of commercial, NASA, and DoD customers. It includes software for 3D object recognition and 3D tracking, 2D inspection, and other machine vision tasks.

Energid’s high fidelity digital simulation is useful for anything from medical training to defense training; from the battlefield to surgery and other types of virtual simulation training.

3D visualization provides the most convenient human interface for many applications. Energid has applied its cross-platform visualization to meet a number of customer development needs, from space robotics to virtual simulation for defense and medical training. The company’s visualization tools are coupled tightly with our electronic simulation and robotics software.
