Griffiss airport in Rome, New York has become the fifth test site for research on small drones, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced on Aug. 7, 2014. The FAA will use Canada’s PrecisionHawk Lancaster Platform for its research, a drone that has a four-foot wingspan, weighs three pounds and carries a 2.2-pound payload.

Japan, New Zealand Team Up on Healthcare Robots

C-TEC High School Receives $1.5M Grant for Robotics Program
The robotics program at Career and Technology Education Centers (C-TEC) High School has received $1.5 million in funding from Ohio’s Straight A Fund. C-TEC says $1.2 million is reserved for equipment upgrades and the remainder will be used to upgrade the Robotics and Automated Manufacturing lab.
