6 Values Re-Writing the Laws of Healthcare Robotics
Professor Tom Sorell of the University of of Warwick, U.K. and other experts involved in the European Union's ACCOMPANY project have created a list of six core values for use in the design of care robots. The six values can be promoted by a care-robot “depending on whether the purpose of the robot is to prolong normal adult autonomy and independence as far as possible into old age, or whether the purpose is to take the load off the support network for an older person”.
