Created specifically to help give people more time back in their day, the new iRobot Roomba 800 Series with patent-pending AeroForce Performance Cleaning System is the ultimate high performance robot vacuum cleaner.
At the heart of the AeroForce system are the AeroForce Extractors; these Extractors amplify suction for superior performance over traditional bristle brushes, all while being virtually maintenance free. Bristle brushes have been around for a hundred years. With these new AeroForce Extractors, iRobot has invented a completely different way to clean floors. The tangle-free extractors eliminate the maintenance hassle of hair clogs and jams. As a result, Roomba 800 Series delivers up to 50 percent better pick-up of dirt, debris and hair from floors than previous Roomba models.
The AeroForce System uses a combination of three breakthrough technologies to deliver the ideal balance of vacuum suction and debris extraction:
- 1.Tangle-Free AeroForce Extractors – Dual counter-rotating extractors incorporate a durable rubber tread design that grabs and breaks down dirt and debris from any floor type.
- 2.Airflow Accelerator – The accelerator brings the vacuum power right down to the floor surface, creating a sealed channel that concentrates the airflow, drawing in more debris.
- 3.High-Efficiency Vacuum – A compact and efficient high-powered motor provides a five times improvement in air power than previous Roomba generations.
Roomba 800 Series makes multiple passes over every section of the floor and gets into hard-to-reach areas using iAdapt Responsive Navigation Technology. Roomba’s anti-tangle, escape and cliff detection behaviors allow Roomba to safely navigate and react to each space so it can clean even if a user is not around. Fine particles are drawn into the sealed, HEPA-filtered bin then efficiently compressed by the force of the vacuum system, trapping dirt, particulates and allergens.
Roomba 880 is also equipped with Virtual Wall Lighthouses to manage multiple room cleanings. The Virtual Wall Lighthouses use an invisible infrared signal to guide Roomba from room-to-room, serving as a gatekeeper for Roomba until a room is completely vacuumed then directs Roomba to clean the next room. The Virtual Wall Lighthouses also serve to block off-limit areas in the home.
Roomba is persistent, cleaning a space in multiple passes just as a human would with a traditional vacuum cleaner. It’s also smart enough to know when to return to its Home Base after completing the task at hand or needs a charge. With the Roomba 800 Series and AeroForce technology, iRobot is disrupting the floor care category yet again.
