Industry leaders and experts in robotics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things gathered at LiveWorx 2017 in Boston. Robotics Business Review and Robotics Trends presented the event’s first-ever track on trends in automation.
The Robotics & Autonomous Vehicles track included nine sessions over two days. Executives from drone provider CyPhy Works, mobile robot company Vecna, and The MITRE Corp. were just a few of the luminaries who participated in sessions and panel discussions.
The presentations looked at commercial drones, “emotional AI,” and robots in the supply chain and hospitals. They also covered the factory of the future, growing the automation ecosystem in Massachusetts, robot design, and “AI verticalization.”
The audience of PTC customers, local and national manufacturers, and engineers interacted with the speakers to learn about workforce concerns, materials science, and the challenges of commercialization.
In 2018, Robotics Business Review will be presenting sessions on smart manufacturing.
