PCS Edventures!.com, Inc., a prominent distributor of K-16 programs focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), announced that Family Focus Inc., a Chicago-based not-for-profit, has purchased PCS Robotics programs. The robotics program order amounts to a value of $48,568, wherein its materials will be used by students during this summer.

PCS Robotics features the PCS Brain and Cortex, a microcontroller and programming software designed specifically with the educator in mind. The Brain and accompanying Cortex software allows students to program in 4 different programming environments, including: PCS Visual Logo (Drag and Drop), PCS Logo (Text Based), PCS Simple C (C Based) and AVR Studio (C Programming). All of these languages build on each other to create a comprehensive programming platform that enables students to create and produce programs and robots that utilize real world programming environments.
According to Dee Dee Pacheco, Family Focus Community Schools Instruction and Partnership Coordinator, Family Focus will offer innovative learning opportunities to promote 21st Century skill development for Chicagoland youth.
