Ozobot makes consumer robots for educational and entertainment purposes.
Ozobot is a small USB-charged robot that tracks lines to follow a path. It can read different colored lines to adjust its speed and direction. This combines with a variety of physical and tablet games for a product that crosses over the traditional game-toy divide.
Evo is a small social robot that can help children learn to code, and Bit is a more advanced model. Ozobot’s Starter Pack and other kits are intended to help young people with DIY (do it yourself) and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) exercises.
In addition, Ozobot sells colored markers to control its robots’ movements and a construction accessory kit. It has worked with Google Blockly to help children learn coding through immediate response.
The company (whose website lists Evollve Inc. as operator) also has a license for Marvel Entertainment characters.
Ozobot received $2 million in investment in 2014, and it has been an exibitor at past Consumer Electronics Shows.
