Steve Crowe and Eugene Demaitre recently spoke with Mike Tremblay, President and CEO of Invest Ottawa, the lead development agency for Canada’s capital. Tremblay talks about the launch of Area X.O, a research and development facility for technologies including robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles. Canada’s focus on advanced technologies in its economic policies is also discussed
Crowe and Demaitre also discuss recent robots from fiction and reality and the lessons for developers. They also talk about a building that was moved on robotic legs.
In addition, Crowe and Demaitre also spoke with returning guest Buck Jordan, president and chairman of Miso Robotics, about expanding deployments of the Flippy Robot-on-a-Rail system to more White Castle fast-food restaurants. Jordan also explains how Miso is building a lead in food-preparation robots and the potential for more robots in kitchens.
