In Episode 69 of The Robot Report Podcast, Steve Crowe and Mike Oitzman interview Steve Cousins, the founder and CEO of Savioke Robotics. Savioke recently released a new version of their flagship service robot called Relay+. During the session, Cousins discusses the design decisions with the with Relay+, including the modular payload design and the addition of a mechanical actuator and vision system for interacting with a hotel elevator.

Oitzman also discuss some of the robotic innovations that he spotted during a visit to the recent World Ag Festival in Tulare, CA. This includes apple picking drones, inoculating dairy cows with an industrial robot, shooting almond mummy’s from the tree with a automatic pellet gun and zapping weeds with a high-power laser.
