Autonomous security robot for surveillance
Mel Torrie and his ASI team have had a busy half-year of new product announcements.
From the autonomous agriculture side of things, ASI, together with FirstCase IH and CNH Industrial’s Innovation Group reimagined the trusty farm tractor as driverless, and out popped the sleekly restyled Case IH Magnum as an autonomous concept vehicle.

This month, ASI, a technology sponsor of the Robolliance program founded by Sharp Electronics Corp., was present for the official unveiling of the Sharp Intellos Automated Unmanned Ground Vehicle (A-UGV).
ASI has formed a division to focus on security and said its inclusion in the security robot launch is a testament to its commitment to the industry.
“When it comes to the shifting demands of private- and public-sector security, the industry integrators and their customers will now have a safe, reliable, and cost-effective robotic tool working to safeguard people, assets and infrastructure,” stated Doug Albregts, president, CEO, and chairman of Sharp Electronics Corp.
The newly restyled Case Magnum is built on ASI’s hardware and software platform. Mobius, ASI’s command-and-control software, enables a single operator to oversee the coordination and cooperation of multiple security robots.
“It is great to see a fresh solution, like Case Magnum, built on ASI’s technology platform being rolled out by world leading companies in industries like mining, agriculture, automotive, construction, and military” said Mel Torrie, CEO of ASI.
