German semiconductor giant Infineon Technologies will showcase at CES 2017 some of the technologies it’s working on to improve self-driving cars.
Self-driving cars will be a major theme for CES (Jan. 5-8 in Las Vegas), and Infineon will demo its advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that will help to make cars safer. It will also show how automated driving is becoming a reality with its 77 GHz radar and LiDAR, 3D cameras for driving monitoring and secure software updates over the air (SOTA).
Apart from automotive applications, Infineon’s technology also helps control building automation systems. It keeps multicopters on course and lets people control machines with a simple wave of the hand.
Highlights in the Infineon booth range will include popular examples such as consumer drones, to innovative street lights that feature both 24 GHz radar intelligence and chargers for e-vehicles.
For those attending CES, Infineon will be located in South Hall 2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
