The iRobot Roomba 690 robot vacuum is the company’s most affordable robot vacuum with app-connected smarts. Thanks to a recent Alexa skill, the Roomba 690 is one of four Roombas you can control using Amazon’s voice assistant.
The Roomba 690 is available for purchase immediately in the U.S. for $375 and will be available in major retail stores beginning later this quarter. The Roomba 690 and 890 vacuuming robots will also be available in international markets beginning in late Q2 2017.
This entry-level Roomba features object and cliff detection, scheduled cleanings and the company’s standard 3-stage cleaning system. However, it lacks many of the additional features of the higher-end Roombas.

The Roomba 690 robot vacuum can be controlled through the iRobot app, which allows users to start cleaning remotely, monitor progress, see notifications if the vacuum needs service, and schedule when vacuuming takes place.
