Fabric Lands $200M Series C to Build Network of Micro-Fulfillment Centers

Fabric closed $200 million in Series C funding to develop its Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) systems for micro-fulfillment. The funding values Fabric at more than $1 billion. The company, which was formerly known as CommonSense Robotics, has raised more than $336 million since it was founded in 2015.
The Series C round was led by existing investor Temasek, with participation from Koch Disruptive Technologies, Union Tech Ventures, Harel Insurance & Finance, Pontifax Global Food and Agriculture Technology Fund (Pontifax AgTech), Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), KSH Capital, Princeville Capital, Wharton Equity Ventures, and others.
Tactile Mobility Announces $27 Million Series C Investment

Tactile Mobility, an Israeli based tactile data and virtual sensing company, announced $27 million Series C funding round. The investment brings Tactile’s total funding to $47 million. The round was led by Delek Motors, with strategic investment from Goodyear Ventures and Porsche Ventures and support from Union Group, The Group Ventures, Zvi Neta (AEV), Giora Ackerstein and Doron Livnat. According to Tactile Mobility representatives, the additional funding round to expand into new market segments and accelerate growth.
DroneBase Raises $Additional 20 Million in Follow-on Funding

Aerial imaging solutions provider DroneBase raised $20 million in venture funding, with the round led by Euclidean Capital. The follow-on round followed less than five months after closing a $12.5M Series C round. The funding will be used by the advanced data capture and analytics service firm to expand globally.
Fixposition Raises $5.95 Million in an Extension of its Seed Financing Round

Fixposition AG, a provider of sensor technology that fuses RTK-GNSS, IMU, and computer vision data to provide high-precision positioning information in GNSS (global navigation satellite system) degraded and denied environments, raised an additional $5.95 million in an extension of its seed financing round. This extension includes investments from Cultivation Capital, G&M Capital, Hasler Stiftung, MiraclePlus, Momenta, and True Ventures. The funds will be used to bring the company’s Vision-RTK product into production, execute its market strategy, and expand its portfolio through strategic partnerships in the autonomous navigation space.
OMRON Invests in Collaborative Robot Company Techman Robot

OMRON Corporation announced that it signed an agreement to invest in Taiwanese collaborative robot manufacturer Techman Robot. The amount of the investment, which is expected to be completed by December 2021, was not provided. OMRON will hold a stake of approximately 10% in Techman.
OMRON and Techman entered into a strategic alliance in 2018 under which OMRON would sell Techman’s TM series collaborative robots worldwide. In addition, the companies have co-jointly developed a mobile manipulation platform featuring a OMROM mobile robot topped with a Techman TM cobot.
TUM Autonomous Motorsport Victorious at the Indy Autonomous Challenge

TUM Autonomous Motorsport from the Technical University Munich won the Indy Autonomous Challenge, taking home the $1 million Grand Prize. The event was held at the world-famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Zebra Technologies Expands Fetch Robotics Portfolio

Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) announced three new autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) from their Fetch Robotics subsidiary. The systems – FlexShelf, FlexShelf Guide, and RollerTop Guide – are built on the Fetch Robotics’ Fetch Freight100 platform. The company also announced a new FetchCore fulfillment software package that automates picking workflows.
