The RobotEye RE08 3D LiDAR empowers robots to dynamically interact with their environment. Ocular Robotics? RE08 3D LiDAR is the smartest 3D laser scanner on the market, the only sensor which adapts its scan region and scan resolution on-the-fly to meet the current needs of the application. This degree of versatility permits a robot to collect all the information it requires for obstacle avoidance, navigation, localization, dense 3D mapping, and object manipulation using a single 3D laser scanner.
The RE08 has at its core the world?s most dynamic sensor platform, RobotEye, and it is the simultaneous speed and precision delivered by the patented RobotEye technology that enables the RE08?s stunning level of flexibility. In today?s 3D LiDAR systems the bulky laser units need to mechanically move in order to redirect the view of the laser scanner. However, RobotEye?s unique ability to guide light to any sensor allows the RE08 laser unit and much of the rest of the mass associated with directing the view of the LiDAR system to remain stationary. This means that the RE08 3D LiDAR delivers 3D information from the requested region in space at the desired resolution by directing its view about both axes with ultra-high speed and precision.
RE08 3D LiDAR has a wide view of the world with 360 degrees in azimuth and 70 degrees in elevation. RE08 3D LiDAR, with a 100+ meter range, can see the world with an unrivaled level of detail, having the ability to acquire 3D point densities of up to 200 points per degree along each axis.
RE08 3D LiDAR has been built for all environments. Physical separation of the robust RobotEye scanning head from the laser unit allows for installation in even the most extreme environments. Further, with up to five return range measurements for each laser pulse, this 3D scanner gives superior performance in dust, smoke, rain, fog, and other adverse conditions. RE08 3D LiDAR?s Ethernet connectivity allows for seamless connection to any network.
