For Elon Musk’s sanity, let’s hope the extra constraints to Tesla’s Autopilot semi-self-driving system aren’t far off.

After watching the video above, it’s clear the Tesla CEO is correct in that extra safety precautions are desperately needed.

We’ve shown you some of the dumb things Tesla Autopilot users have done, but this one takes the cake.

A Tesla owner in the Netherlands appears to be filming from the back seat while Autopilot is engaged and the Model S is traveling 83km/h down a Dutch highway.

This is obviously extremely dangerous, please don’t try this with Tesla Autopilot or any semi-self-driving system.

It’s been said many times, but we’ll say it again: Autopilot is not a self-driving system. Tesla has be adamant that drivers should always keep their hands on the wheels when Autopilot is engaged.
