The Neato XV Signature Pro from Neato Robotics uses the company’s laser-guided navigation to map out a room and clean in a systematic fashion. The robot vacuum offers two kinds of filtration, works on all types of flooring, except for thick carpeting, and returns to its charging base when it needs a battery recharge.
The XV Signature Pro is large, measuring 3.7 tall by 12.7 wide by 12.5 deep and weighing in at 8.2 pounds. Other features include a removable dirt bin and filter assembly that holds three-quarters of a quart of debris, a 1.7-by-1.7-inch LCD panel, four programming buttons, and a large Start button.
The XV Signature Pro features Smart Sensor technology to automatically detect and avoid stairs and furniture. It can be programmed for vacuuming at set times so you can come home from a busy day to clean floors.
The vacuum’s square front and low-profile design keeps it close to corners and walls for maximum pick-up of dirt, dust, debris, and pet hair. This robotic vacuum comes with a charging base that the XV Pro returns to on its own when the battery is running low. The battery run time on this cleaner is shorter than others, so it takes more time to clean large spaces.
A curved LED indicator displays the vacuum’s status. A solid green light means it is fully charged and ready to go, while a pulsing green means it is charging, but can be pressed into action. A pulsing amber light means the vacuum is being charged and is not ready for cleaning, and a solid amber light indicates an error, which could mean the dirt bin is full, the bumper is stuck, the brush is jammed, or the drop sensors need cleaning.
