Last week it was a swarm of bees, this week we have two eagles attacking a drone.
A new video on YouTube, uploaded by Patrick Pircher, shows two eagles take down a DJI Phantom 3 drone in Austria. The eagles attack the drone and actually bring it down to the ground to an area that appears to be a nest.
The video ends with the Phantom 3 seemingly safe and sound. Phantom 3s track their GPS location via the Main Controller, sharing that information with the operator. Presumably, that’s how Pircher recovered his drone.
Let this serve as another reminder to drone videographers: beware of bees, cats, chimpanzees, and many other animals.
